It Begins...

Sean began working out at age 17 as a means to gain more confidence and "feed" the typical teenage male ego driven goal of getting "big."

He achieved great results, rapidly putting on 20 pounds of muscle and going from a 185 lbs bodyweight to 205 lbs by the next year.

He was hooked, not only on the feeling of going to the gym and pounding through a brutal workout, but also on getting bigger and stronger.  Being a young guy, big and strong was the goal.  If the scale wasn't going up, the solution was to eat more foood, however, triple burger combos, boxes of waffles, packs of hotdogs and pizza not only put on size, they packed on a lot of fat, leaving Sean at a sloppy 250 lbs at 20 years old.

However, a little bit more mature at age 20, Sean realized that being lean, strong and healthy was a much better goal and under the guidance of a very knowlegeable trainer, Marshall Alexander, he began the path that would lead him to where he is now.

Before and After Sean
"These are the actual before and after shots that Sean submitted to EAS for the challenge.  The glasses, hairstyle and ghetto 'hood shot were for extra effect as it became standard practice for contestants to make their "Before" shots look as bad as possible"

At the time, EAS was the top of the food chain in the supplement industry and their Body-for-LIFE Challenge was wildly popular.  MuscleMania was also at the top of their game in Canada with events drawing hundreds of bodybuilders from across the country to the stage.

Sean decided he would enter the Junior Bodybuilding category at MuscleMania AND enter the Body-for-Life Challenge since he was going to make a big transformation anyways.

In November of that year, Sean submitted his "before and after" pictures to EAS and took to the stage at MuscleMania.  Sean finished a disappointing 4th place at that competition.  His transformation was rapid and dramatic though, dropping nearly 50 lbs in under 6 weeks.  Sean hadn't quite taken the competition seriously.  Again, young ego got in the way and Sean assumed he didn't need to listen to Marshall and diet for 12-14 weeks; he assumed he would be bigger and stronger than anyone on the stage and didn't realize that that meant very little in bodybuilding competition.  He also failed to adequately prepare in the way of posing and routine.

The Inspiration...

The next year, EAS sent a letter to Sean stating that he had finished among the top 2000 competitors in the Body-for-LIFE Challenge out of over 1,000,000 entries around the world!  He had the opportunity to attend the Champions Dinner with the other top Canadians in Toronto and had an opportunity to meet Body-for-LIFE Director, Porter Freeman.  So, though he got his butt handed to him at MuscleMania the previous year, the transformation he accomplished was still something to be proud of.

Since that transformation, Sean began eating healthier and didn't allow himself to get to 250 lbs again.  His weight was holding at 225 lbs and he decided he would compete once again, but this time listen to his coach, Marshall Alexander and give it his all.

Sean did a solid 11 week diet and also worked with a posing coach throughout his training.  He would lose 40 lbs and get down to a shredded 185 lbs on stage; 14 pounds lighter than the year before and was prepared with his posing and routine.

This time, Sean would dominate the Junior Bodybuilding category and take home the first place prize at the MuscleMania Canada competition!

Building the Foundation of a Career...

Passionate about fitness and inspired by his own success, Sean decided to try his hand at personal training.  Already having a background in Kinesiology, he also got certified by the American Council on Excercise and applied for his first job at Family Fitness in Oakville, Ontario.

His passion for training became apparent to his clients.  Sean had one of the highest client retention rates in the company and many would take the time to write to management.

His next big success came when he successfully transformed a former national level athlete who sustained a serious knee injury which caused her to end her athletic career and become sedentary.  This former athlete came to Sean at 49 years old with a surgically repaired knee and a starting bodyweight of 183 lbs at 5'6" and told him she wanted to be "fit at 50."  Not only did Sean help her get fit at 50, but within 16 weeks of beginning her training with Sean she entered a national level bodybuilding competition and placed 2nd!

Sean's client became a "celebrity" throughout the company which had locations from Hamilton to Mississauga, Ontario; she was also featured all over the local media.

Not only was she an inspiration to many, but this started a tidal wave of those wanting to get the same results from Sean.  Many "average" people saw dramatic results training with Sean, but his passion was in training fitness competitors and bodybuilders.  Indeed Sean trained many fitness competitors and bodybuilders; some of them have appeared on the cover of Oxygen Magazine and others have been featured throughout industry magazines.

His record of never having a Bodybuilder finish out of a top 3 spot has still not been broken after 10 years and only once has a Figure competitor that Sean trained finished out of the top 3 (she placed 4th).

"Jennifer Aziz came to Sean with the goal of being "fit at 50."  Little did she realize, she would be fit enough to place 2nd in a National Bodybuilding contest!"

Sean was now training dozens of fitness athletes and entering them into shows.  In 2004, Sean saw that an organization was looking for promoters of their contests.  Since he could get over a dozen athletes of his own to enter and several more that trained in the same gym alone, he decided this could be a good opportunity.  Sean met with the co-founders of the organization to discuss the details of hosting a show and was excited to get going.

He had to propose a date, location and name of the event and hence, Halloween Mayhem was created on October 29th, 2005 in Hamilton, Ontario.  By this time, the organization Sean was working with - once the 2nd biggest organization in the world - was starting to falter after it there were stories of questionable business practices by the organization.  However, Halloween Mayhem was a huge success due to Sean's effort in both the creation and concept of the event as well as his professional and caring interaction with the athletes.

Halloween Mayhem

With the success of Halloween Mayhem, Sean was asked to become a partner in more events and was also sent across North America to direct many others.  While Sean's events continued to enjoy success, there were more and more rumblings of competitors not getting paid prize money, staff not getting paid for their work and venues not being paid.  Finally, in 2006, Sean also became one of the casualties of the organization he believed in and worked with.

Still with a passion for the industry, the contacts, the know-how and the creativity, Sean wanted to continue organizing and hosting fitness events, however the only solution was to create an entirely new organization, a very risky move that could leave him bankrupt.  Not only would it take a lot of promotion to make the event a success, it had to be a top notch production and Sean had to be willing to take a large financial risk.

Sean, however, would encounter some very fortunate and "lucky" circumstances that would both give him the initial cash to start, promote and successfully execute his first show and a partner willing to back him up.

On October 27th, 2007, Sean would once again host a packed stage and a giant roaring audience at Halloween Mayhem - this time it was under his newly formed organization, Ultimate Fitness Events.

Now and Into the Future...

Coming off the success of that first event, Ultimate Fitness Events hosted 3 events the next year and has added events every year since then, with the ultimate goal of hosting events across North America and perhaps the world!

Ultimate Fitness Events is already known as the leading drug tested fitness organization in North America with a calibre of events matched by none.  The mission of UFE is to bring natural fitness to the forefront of the industry and to give natural competitors the same opportunities that non tested competitors have enjoyed.

His mission within the organization is to show competitors that he has created UFE from a competitors' point of view and will even still get in the trenches with them and perform at certain events.

Sean himself trains clients with a variety of goals including weight loss, boxing (he holds a national coaching certification in boxing) and fitness competition training.

Sean also promotes himself within the fitness industry as a fitness model and has appeared in national fitness publications including Inside Fitness Magazine and on radio, including the Howard Stern Show.  He will continue to grow himself in this aspect for several reasons including self accomplishment, passion and to be an example to those who train with him and the thousands of competitors who compete in UFE.

Sean's success is owed, not only to his passion for fitness or his organization ability of the events, but also the creativity of his events - the "show" he produces for people beyond a typical fitness event, from the opening acts to the videos produced for the shows to the lighting and the overall "look" of the events.

With that said, Sean has decided broaden his scope beyond fitness evetns and branch out into new creative areas of stage entertainment.  These shows will be announced in the near future and people can expect nothing less than excitement, fun and electrifying entertainment.

However, these shows will be something totally new and like nothing Sean has done before.
